“FaceLink AI” is a communication app that proposes a new way of meeting people in the future—where you never forget a name—by combining XREAL One Pro, XREAL Eye, and facial recognition AI technology.

When encountering someone for the first time, just looking at their face automatically brings up their name, profession, and conversation-starting topics in your field of view.

It promotes smooth interactions at exhibitions and similar events, creating high-quality encounters that leave a lasting impression.

This app was showcased at the XREAL booth during the "5th XR & Metaverse Expo [Summer]," held from July 2 to 4, 2025.

The exhibit gained significant attention on X (formerly Twitter), sparked by posts from visiting tech journalists, resulting in approximately 1,500 reposts and over 3,000 likes. Many were intrigued by the app’s potential to solve common social dilemmas such as “I don’t know what to say” or “I remember meeting them but can’t recall their face,” using a combination of AI and AR technologies.

By recognizing the face of the person in front of the camera with AI and displaying conversation topics (like profession or hobbies) pre-registered by the individual in the database, the app helps facilitate smoother, more engaging conversations—without the risk of unintentionally overstepping boundaries—leading to more memorable encounters.
