SMART CAMPUS tour
- ITOKI CORPORATION

About
At the 4th “Education Fair” held at the headquarters of Itoki Corporation, we produced the virtual showroom “SMART CAMPUS tour” utilizing the latest spatial computing devices.
The “SMART CAMPUS tour” recreates Itoki’s proposed “Hyflex-type group learning classroom” as a realistic, immersive experience. Its purpose is to deliver a tangible sense of the “spatial value” that conventional presentation methods have struggled to fully convey.
Visitors, by wearing the device, could experience both a bird’s-eye perspective overlooking the entire space and an immersive, first-person view as if they were inside the classroom. This seamless transition between perspectives enabled them to intuitively grasp furniture layouts, traffic flows, and usage scenarios.
Additionally, the exhibition allowed not only device users but also a wider audience to appreciate the value Itoki offers by projecting the user’s view onto a screen, enabling many visitors without the device to share in the experience.

Execution
In this exhibition, visitors were able to experience the spatial layout and sense of scale “as if they were actually there,” something that conventional CG renderings or floor plans could not fully convey. This led to feedback such as:
“I was able to clearly understand the overall classroom operation, which I couldn’t grasp from seeing the furniture alone.”
“I could feel the layout innovations and functional features of the furniture from a user’s perspective.”
“I’d like this content to be implemented during proposal presentations.”
Background
Traditional proposals have been limited to providing visual information through catalogs, CG renderings, and scale models. The highlight of this exhibition was the ability to experience the entire space “as if you were actually there.”
View classroom fixtures at actual size
Experience differences in traffic flow and atmosphere when layouts are changed
The “SMART CAMPUS tour” served as a new communication method that incorporates the space itself into proposals, supporting the digital transformation of sales activities not only in the education sector but also in the interior design and furniture industries.
It is expected to be applied in various scenarios, such as proposals for products that cannot be physically brought in, consensus building during the design phase, and improving the efficiency of showroom operations.
Next Step
Regarding the “SMART CAMPUS tour” and its underlying product, “Immersive Pitch”, we are considering the following future developments:
- Deployment as XR content in showrooms
- Expansion to other Itoki product lineups
- Utilization as a promotional tool in sales negotiations and proposal activities
